I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families who are struggling with conflicts in their lives, whether they are emotional, psychological, relational or any combination of these. I have also worked with persons with substance abuse issues, abuse/trauma issues, and mental health issues. All of them are looking for healing and restoration to a sense of identity and meaning, which can lead to a greater sense of security and purpose in life. Most seem to want to know themselves and other persons better and feel safe.
I help such persons by helping them see the role that their beliefs, thought patterns, behaviors, experiences and relationships may have produced problems that they were either unaware of or may have believed that they were powerless to deal with effectively. Many persons with substance abuse issues fit this profile, but behaviors can be just as addicting.
Regardless of your situation or past experience, I believe that you can begin to experience healing by honestly looking at yourself and your experiences and seeing them for what they are, not what you wish they would have been or what others have been trying to shape it into for their own purposes.
