Being a person is hard work; our lives are complex and navigating the world is challenging even in the best of circumstances. What we all long for, a sense of wellness, is not just the absence of affliction, it is the presence of vitality. Each of us has the capacity for this vitality, where we live fully and whole-heartedly. Clients who find my services most helpful tend to be those who are looking for a new way of living, who seek a deeper understanding of their feelings, their relationships, and their life.
My philosophy holds that our feelings and behaviors make sense if we work to understand the underlying messages they offer. I tend to be direct but not directive. I approach our work together from the perspective that I am here to help facilitate your healing process. In our sessions, you will feel respected, accepted, and challenged toward understanding.
Starting therapy with a new person takes courage. Every time you open up to someone, you're beginning the process of developing trust. Please feel free to contact my office if you have any questions about me, or therapy in general. I currently offer both telehealth for Washington state residents and in-office therapy in Spokane.
