I specialize in substance use and related mental health disorders which are common but remain stigmatized due to misunderstanding and fear. Recovery is possible without hospitalization or medication in the privacy of your own home. Maintaining participation in and control of your life during treatment is paramount for recovery. Complete abstinence may not be the primary goal, rather, harm reduction and stability may be preferable and certainly achievable. No matter your personal recovery goals, you can recover health, stability, and joy in your life and I can guide you through it.

I use Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the foundation for my therapeutic process to relieve anxiety, depression, anger management, PTSD, grief, stress and trauma related issues. Because we are all unique, mental health issues manifest differently, therefore, I use client-centered and strength based approaches.

Equipped with enormous empathy and insight, as well as extensive clinical experience, I am guided by compassion. Substance use is often an attempt to self medicate emotional, mental, and physical pain. With specific tools successful for alleviating common mental complaints, recovery is possible.
