Providing a compassionate and trusting therapeutic relationship is a priority in treatment. I strive to guide people to develop their inner strengths and wisdom, and to release negative thought and behavioral patterns through a variety of therapeutic techniques. I am highly trauma-focused, as well as spiritually-oriented. A relaxed and non-judgmental environment is provided to all persons, regardless of culture, religion, age, economic status, sexuality, or gender. I treat all ages and all mental health concerns and collaborate with needed professionals to ensure the most effective treatment. Office hours are usually available to accommodate work and school schedules.
I am trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which can be utilized for those who have experienced trauma, as well as with individuals who struggle with negative belief systems. This modality can be utilized for children and adults.
I am adept at addressing metaphysical concepts, and working with individuals who believe in energy systems of the body and universe. I incorporate one's religious or spiritual beliefs into sessions as needed. This can be particularly helpful when dealing with trauma, depression, suicidality, schizophrenia, life transitions, existential crisis, spiritual and religious conflicts, and grief.
