My approach to therapy is collaborative, non-judgmental, and action-oriented. I practice evidence-based treatments, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Cultivating compassion-and mindfulness of the present moment-can help you learn to face the challenges in your life with courage, wisdom, and kindness, improve well-being and life satisfaction, and establish more compassionate relationships with yourself and others. I can also help you regulate emotions, change how you relate with your thoughts, and build new healthier behaviors.
In therapy together, I will listen closely and without judgment, helping you to uncover and pursue what you value most. I will help you change ingrained, self-defeating patterns and replace them with new, healthier ways of meeting needs. And I will offer you tools, support, and therapeutic techniques with your personal needs and preferences in mind.
I also specialize in helping people cope with grief and stress associated with infertility treatment, miscarriage, and other reproductive loss. Having gone through these experiences myself, I can be a compassionate sounding board for dealing with complicated transitions around building a family.

Compassionate Mind Training (CMT)
CMT is an evidence-based 8-week course that teaches you how to access and develop your “compassionate mind" to reduce self-criticism, regulate strong negative emotions, and become more compassionate toward yourself and the important people in your life. Each session involves a mixture of taught content, group discussion, and experiential practices like mindfulness, imagery, compassionate letter writing, and dialogue with your “critical self.” Between sessions, you’ll practice what you’ve learned, guided by audio files and written material.
