My name is Kari Dragovan-Story MS, LPC-MHSP. I am independently licensed in the state of TN with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and specializations in Trauma/Crisis, EMDR, and addictions. I believe when people are heard, understood, and empowered to heal, they can tackle even the most difficult challenges in their lives. I am an active therapist in helping to identify and manage presenting problems through the use of EMDR, CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and trauma-focused approaches (we'll work together to find the right modality for you!).
I work with children to adults, usually with mood, thought, relationship issues, and personality challenges. This includes anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, personality disorders, self-harm/acute therapy, and solution-focused approaches, etc.
I bring a lot of energy to our sessions; I make sure I am tuned into you and provide a client-centered environment. I am an active therapist, who oftentimes leans on humor- because therapy can seem daunting, but we're in this together.
