About
I’m Kari Kahl and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor at Thomas Integrative Psychotherapy and with PSIMED, Inc. in Morgantown, WV. As a Trauma-Informed therapist, I am sensitive to the influence of past experiences on present challenges. I work with my clients to revise the narrative of their life and help to heal old wounds in order for clients to heal and move on with a newfound feeling of freedom and sense of relief. I have experience and training in many different techniques and therapeutic approaches which helps me to be multifaceted with treatment plans that are truly individualistic.
I utilize CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and help them to begin to make targeted change. I assist my clients in self-awareness and to understand their physical response to external stressors. We work together to improve problem solving skills in order to improve their reactions to change.
I am focused on ensuring that my clients see real progress, feel safe and heard, and an equal partner in the therapeutic process. I offer in person hours as well as convenient remote telehealth sessions that make your self-care a priority. PSIMED website: www.psimedinc.com/.
