Hi, my name is Kari Homan Shannon, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I like to focus on the client and their needs. I have been in practice since 2007, addressing mostly depression, anxiety, PTSD, hoarding and trauma. My career has mostly been focused on depression, anxiety, PTSD, hoarding, and trauma. As mentioned earlier, I tend to like to get you up on your feet as quickly as possible while recognizing that each person will have their own pace and own preferences. We will do whatever you're comfortable with.
I won't tell you how to live your life, but I will help you find your own answers so that you'll be better versed and more empowered going forward. My therapeutic approach is to see the person, find out what they need, what they'd like help with, and address those issues using a myriad of techniques.
I have a favoured therapy, Emotional Release Therapy, which is the fastest technique I've ever found, and it utilizes the client's faith base, which I realize might not be for everyone. That being said, I have many skills and tools to teach and am equally versed in meeting you where you are with whatever you need.
