Many people come into therapy because they are suffering in some way and want to feel better. This suffering can take many forms: low self-esteem, difficulty with relationships, illness, depression, excessive worry or anxiety, coping with loss, family problems, divorce, and other important issues. We will work together to explore your current situation, any issues from the past, and identify what might be involved in preventing you from moving forward or healing. We will work on creating coping skills if need be to deal with challenging situations.
I am a seasoned, licensed clinical social worker trained to diagnosis and treat a broad range of conditions and issues. My style is nonjudgemental, supportive, and empathic. I combine psychodynamic, solution focused, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and mindfulness based therapies, tailoring my approach to each client’s unique needs and issues.
