Hi, My name is Karen Vicuna. I have an LCSW ( Licensed Clinical Social Worker) which I obtained in 2004. I specialize in working with youth and adolescent populations. I have over 20 years of experience working with youth through age 25 through schools. county mental health and private practice setting.
I have been trained and utilize several therapies in my work. These include trauma-focused CBT, CBT, EMDR, crisp intervention, and Solution Focused approach. I have learned through my experience that no matter what the intervention utilized it really begins by finding a good fit and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship.
