Goal setting is critical in the therapy process. I collaboratively create goals with my clients, because I am working with them to achieve these goals. If a client has several difficulties and feels overwhelmed by their goals, then I will help them to identify an overarching goal or a goal to target, that we can work on together.

I use an eclectic approach in therapy with a variety of theoretical orientations including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Positive Psychology, Narrative, and Mindfulness techniques. I am also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Open communication is very important in a therapeutic setting. I communicate honestly and openly in sessions. I listen with empathy, I am present and fully engaged.
