I believe that every person has the potential for a meaningful and joyous life, even after experiencing times of great suffering, abuse, or trauma. As a therapist, I offer a space for healing by helping clients process trauma, develop insight, and experiment with behavioral change.
I use a combination of person-centered, interpersonal and EMDR (trauma reprocessing therapy) techniques. I love hearing peoples’ stories and believe therapy is a dynamic process that, while sometimes challenging, leads to positive change and growth. I work with clients to develop self-compassion and an understanding of their personal strengths.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the performing arts world. My work in the arts has led me to see people through a creative lens and to appreciate each person's unique idiosyncrasies and beauty. I believe each of us has the ability to cultivate more of what we love in our lives, and I enjoy walking alongside people as they begin to do this.
