For 20 years, I have helped children and their families cope with bad things that sometimes happen in a child's life. This includes abuse, divorce, school issues, loss of a loved one, or low self-esteem. I understand the ripple effects that these can have on family members and how hard it is to watch your child struggle. I use a neuroscience-informed approach to create a safe environment for clients to release the emotional pain in a way that makes the most effective use of your time.
As a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, I utilize creative modalities - art, music, books, sand, movement - to engage clients. I provide parental support/coaching throughout the healing process. I have specialized training in EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT. My work is also informed by core concepts of Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.
