Choosing to enter into counseling is not an easy decision. My main goals as a therapist are: 1. To provide the client with a safe environment in order to help them feel comfortable expressing themselves. 2. To gather as much information as possible in order to address their unique needs & provide the best counseling. 3. To utilize a variety of approaches and tailor the counseling to each individual to help the client live with more peace & purpose. Being flexible, knowledgeable & open as a therapist is important. I participate in continuing education on a regular basis in order to provide relevant counseling for my clients.
I have been counseling clients of all ages with a wide variety of issues since 2003. I have advanced training in substance abuse & gambling addiction, & completed training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), an evidenced based treatment that is proven effective in treating PTSD, addiction, grief, depression, phobias, anxiety, etc. with quick results.
Our counseling practice offers more than traditional counseling. WillowsEdge provides workshops/seminars, support groups, & healing arts services including art therapy, yoga therapy, animal assisted therapy, music therapy, energy therapy & more. Art Therapy Group for Teens
This open group meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday of month from 10am-12pm for teens ages 14-18. Through art, clients will be able to express positive feelings, externalize difficult emotions, and gain insight into any negative symptoms they may be experiencing.
