I'm (not taking couples clients at this time). There are many reasons why you may be seeking out a therapist today. Perhaps someone is "nudging" you to get help. Maybe things are so that the discomfort of the pain you feel now is outweighing the discomfort of the idea of seeing a therapist. The values that shape my strength based practice are authenticity, unconditional regard for you, curiosity and excitement about your journey. When appropriate, I like to let humor facilitate healing or coping whether emotional, cognitive or spiritual. I also believe that preventative work now can enhance your experiences down the road.
Currently, I'm focusing only on pre-marital/newly committed couples. I'm trained in PREPARE/ENRICH and FOCCUS and have been trained in Level 2 of Gottman's Couples Therapy (not certified). I use these tools and others as a springboard for enriching your relationship now so that you are prepared for a healthy, committed relationship or marriage in the future.
