I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I am skilled at working with the most challenging of children, ages 3 - 12. Their needs vary from trauma, anxiety, anger outbursts, adjustment problems, to grief/loss. Play Therapy is a researched approach that allows your child to take the lead in the session, while the therapist follows and interprets his/her play. Their self-paced process allows your child to work through issues without fear or trepidation. When he/she is ready to reconnect, the process is complete.
After working with various types of populations the last 20 years, I realized that parents are in crisis when their children are troubled. After working under the supervision of a renowned Registered Play Therapy Supervisor, I have earned my own title as Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with my own practice.
At Renewed Journey Counseling Services, LLC your child will enter a specialized play room solely dedicated to their treatment. They will lead the play while I follow and study their play.
