In my private practice I am committed to assist adults and couples who desire to improve their quality of their life through mental health and wellness counseling. As a therapist, I work primarily with adults and couples in managing a wide range of issues and challenges such as: Anxiety, Depression, Intimacy, Attention deficits & learning differences, Communication, Health issues, Life Transitions, Grief and loss, Professional/Work issues, Family and relationship matters. Also, my approach is multi-modal, or eclectic, which is to say that I borrow from a variety of different treatment traditions and philosophies when counseling clients.

Also, I work from an evidence informed perspective, in that I consider good, reliable research on the efficaciousness of treatment approaches. I also utilize the following: (1) Symptom reduction, a focus on a clear identification of the problems that the client wishes to reduce, and creating an individualized approach to reducing or those symptoms.

(2) Cognitive-behavioral approaches that focus on working with clients to understand in detail their thought patterns, the core beliefs that underlie those thought patterns and the behaviors. (3) Investigative inquiries where the client is invited to openly and honestly share about the situation which is causing difficulties.
