I am passionate about supporting individuals and families to feel empowered, fulfilled and happy. I have always told my kids that everyone has their own journey. I am from a large family that includes many various personalities, abilities and disabilities. We all have strengths and challenges. All of us need help at certain points along the way. There were a few key people who made a difference for me in my life and inspired me to do this work. I feel that my personal experience along with my professional training have allowed me to have unique insights in my practice.
I am a graduate of the Boston University School of Social Work, where I was trained in Family Systems. I have worked in residential schools, hospitals and clinics. I enjoy diversity and learning about cultures. My treatment approaches include CBT, Supportive, Mindfulness, Strength Based treatment, Eclectic and EMDR to fit the individual.
My specialties include : life transitions, self esteem, parenting issues, disabilities, learning disabilities, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, adhd, high functioning autism, adoption Issues, support for adoptive parents, foster parents and grandparents raising children, coping skills and social skills.
