About
I am an extensively published, world-travelled expert on trauma and chronic illness. I conduct therapy in English, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, German, and Dutch. For the past 25 years, I have been assisting individuals with ADHD/behavioral challenges, trauma, PTSD, dissociation, depression, bipolar disorder, and physical illness. My clients range in age from 3 to 103. Early in my career, I developed a support group curriculum for AIDS orphans now available in 35 countries. My 9/11 mental health first responder efforts were chronicled in a prestigious publication, given as a keynote speech, and are now archived as an oral at the National September 11 Memorial Museum. Ten years’ work at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health’s Child Clinic has informed my work with children and adolescents undergoing complex emotional struggles.
My practice combines the meticulous application of several key psychotherapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy) with the flexibility of alternative approaches such as art, music, dance, yoga, self-shiatsu, hypnotherapy, NLP, meditation, and relaxation. I am an Advanced Reiki Master and incorporate this treatment if desired.
