Welcome, I am happy you are here! I see individuals (ages 13+) and couples for counseling, and provide a non-judgmental and inclusive setting for therapy. Counseling goals are tailored to each client. Previous client's have reported that they better understand the reasoning behind their behaviors, use more healthy coping skills, and feel ready to live their most authentic lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. I received my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2023, and my M.A. in School Counseling in 2007.

I used evidenced-based practices and specialize in grief/loss, military-separation, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience advocating for interventions within school systems, counseling at-risk adolescents, emergency mental health, & couples counseling. Please note: I currently offer virtual sessions only.

People can benefit from professional counseling when they are provided unconditional regard and skill-building based on individual needs. I take an integrative approach to the therapeutic relationship, and include person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and existential beliefs, and models of psychosocial development.
