Hello, I understand that while the idea therapy can be scary and overwhelming, the reality is, it does not have to be. I believe counseling is a partnership where the ultimate goal is improving one's quality of life.
I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults in an individual, group and family settings for over 25 years. I believe in the power of the individual and in their personal desire to get well and grow through life's challenges.
I treat mental health with a holistic approach and apply the necessary coping strategies to meet ones needs. Much of my work includes treating, addiction, trauma, PSTD, anxiety, depression, developmental, and behavioral issues. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness based approaches.
