My name is Karen Green, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 25 years of experience working with diverse ages/gender/cultures. I use different modalities of therapy tailored to the client's needs. I work mostly with clients with anxiety, depression, work/life stress, medical problems, and family or relationship issues. I generally work with people who have depression, anxiety, relationship issues, medical problems, and personal, work, or family stress.
I use different modalities of therapy, tailored to the client's needs, but mainly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT)-examining then changing negative thoughts/behaviors to positive ones. I create a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental environment for clients, so they can feel comfortable opening up to me.
Some people are unable to fully express themselves to their family/friends for fear of judgment or rejection. I feel that having an unbiased, understanding therapist that listens is necessary for the client to benefit from therapy. I am relatable and use terms/scenarios that my clients can comprehend.
