Knowing suffering and struggle are common to all, I strive to provide hope and direction for people as they face real-world challenges. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, and emotional instability, as well as concerns with unhealthy/low self-concept, anger/frustration, relational challenges, life transitions, grief/loss, and spiritual concerns may feel overwhelming. Acknowledging the need for help is a sign of strength and is a step toward a preferred future. My goal is to foster a safe, comfortable, and accepting atmosphere in which clients can be honest and open, relationships develop, and the work of healing begins.
Having worked in both school and clinical mental health counseling settings, I have experience working with a wide variety of clients, and, while I consider myself culturally competent, I am continuously learning and growing. I enjoy working with adults of all ages. Upon request, I provide Christ-centered counseling.
I strongly believe that most people have within themselves the strengths and abilities to work through and overcome many of their concerns successfully—but need help identifying effective solutions.
