Greetings, my name is Karen Drack, M.A, LMHC. My belief is that through the trusting and empathetic relationship with a counselor a person will be able to recognize the desire to create improvements in their life. My goal for my clients is to assist them to build on their successes and look for opportunities to grow as an individual. I work with individuals 18 and older who are struggling with feeling anxious or depressed or who have experienced trauma, grief or loss.
I am an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist who employs empathy and humor as I assist my clients on their journey to healing and self-actualization through EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). EMDR utilizes alternative eye movement, sounds, or taps to heal the brain, making painful memories less vivid and less valid.
