My practice is tailor-made to serve children and families who need a little help finding their way through some of the challenges life brings. Located in quaint, scenic Hillsborough, my farmhouse-style office features a big, glassed-in playroom where kids, parents, and grandparents alike can enjoy a lovely view of woods and pastureland while learning new ways to cope with their lives. I'm a big believer in the healing power of play, so you'll find lots of toys here, like puppets, dolls, racecars, costumes, games, sand trays, art supplies, and more. Therapy can be fun!
I work with kids and families facing all sorts of challenges, such as: grief/loss; illness/medical trauma; anxiety/depression; ADD; school issues; moving; divorce; foster care/adoption; sibling rivalry; friendship issues; et cetera. Whether your problems seem big, small, or inbetween, I'm here to help.
My professional background includes both psychological and theological training, so upon request I offer Christian, faith-based counseling. Also, financial concerns don't have to be a stopper. I am committed to doing my part to make my services affordable to motivated clients.
