I am not perfect; however, I do aim at meeting you where you’re at while also challenging you to become the best version of yourself. I am a firm believer that trauma has ways of impacting us that are far beyond just our mental health. It will impact our mental health, spiritual health, social health, and even physical health. I will often help clients bring awareness to this and challenge them using holistic approaches towards the greater goal of healing.
I have experience working with teens and adults from a variety of upbringings, cultures, and symptoms. I have worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, autism, addiction, identity issues, and life transitions to name a few. My approach to treatment is an emphasis on teaching clients how to understand themselves using EMDR.
I also use CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches to increase mindfulness around how trauma, big or small. Starting or restarting therapy is a lot within itself, which is why I do my best to help clients be comfortable through warmth and humor.
