I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. My work is primarily with adults who are experiencing normal life stressors such as work problems, relational issues, trauma and grief and loss. I really enjoy working with people to gain personal insight and weigh out options for difficult decisions. Additionally, I have experience with most mental health diagnosis and continue to work with most anxiety and mood disorders.
I incorporate a variety of treatment strategies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, grief counseling, trauma-informed therapy, and Mindfulness. Therapy is a collaborative approach to help promote change, acceptance and overall improvement in well-being. I cater my technique to meet each client's needs.
My practice is located near Dickinson College in downtown Carlisle. There is ample street parking. My office was built to create an inviting space to calm you when you walk through the door. The first appointment is always the scariest because you are essentially meeting a stranger and planning on telling them a lot of personal stuff, but that wanes quickly.
