Welcome to Prasada Center for Wellbeing – I’m so glad you’re here! After a decade of working as a professional counselor, I know one thing stands true – humans are wired to connect with one another. We come into this world not only seeking but needing connection. I understand the importance of how each child and each person is an individual and that our sometimes subtle differences can play a huge role in who we are, the way in which we perceive the world, how we face challenges, and how we heal. I know that there is no separation between brain and body, body and brain. We are a whole being comprised of several parts.
The many different relationships and experiences throughout our life, especially those during childhood, have led us to where we are today. My goal in therapy is to help you or you and your child see that you are more than your past experiences or present-day actions; that children are not their behaviors and behaviors communicate a need.
I help individuals and families understand the processes beneath the external display – the outbursts, anger, meltdowns, or arguments. I help establish, rebuild, or enhance a secure relationship between caregiver and child as we together learn how to regulate our bodies to improve those nagging thoughts and feelings that seem to control us or our children.
