Thank you for viewing my profile. Taking the first step and contacting a therapist can be intimidating and takes courage. My main focus for the past 25 years has been on Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment in group settings as well as Individual sessions. I work with adults, families, and couples. In addition to counseling individuals with issues of addiction, I also work with Adult Children of Alcoholics and Addicts (ACOA/COA) addressing the negative impact of growing up in an alcoholic household. Addiction does not affect just the individual using. Addiction affects the whole family. I do not work strictly with addiction.
My main focus has been Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling, but I am not exclusive to that population. I provide counseling for individuals with LGBT-Q related issues as well as perpetrators and survivors of domestic violence. Are you self-critical and always concerned with what others think? Are you afraid to assert yourself for fear of hurting others?
