Change can be difficult -- Allow me to help you succeed on your journey! Throughout my years of experience, I've found great joy and satisfaction in helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
I work with children treating for phobias, unhappiness, divorce, grief, separation issues, abuse, neglect, poor self-esteem, and problems adjusting to life transitions. I use a combination of play therapy, art therapy, and talk therapy, as appropriate per the child's developmental level.
Treating "difficult" teens is also one of my specialties. I treat youth experiencing challenges with depression, anxiety, abuse, substance use, and self-harm.
I treat adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting issues, stress, separation/divorce and other life crisis situations.
My passion and unique specialty is animal-assisted therapy. A fully-trained and certified animal is directed by a mental health professional and this type of therapy may aid in increasing verbal interactions, increasing attention skills, developing leisure/recreation skills, increasing self-esteem, and reducing anxiety, depression, and loneliness.
