I strive to form trusting relationships with clients to assist them with improving their quality of relationships, increase their personal sense of well being or self esteem, achieve a better balance in their life, resolve traumatic history, and learn effective coping skills. With over 30 years of clinical experience, I am skilled in treating individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. I provide groups for recovery from trauma with a strong understanding of the needs for first responders. I am skilled in treating depression, anxiety, adjustment/identity problems, grief/loss, PTSD, OCD.
I am skilled in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders as a "Co-Occurring" problem with other Mental Health or behavioral problems. I utilize an integrated approach using best practice models of treatment. For trauma and PTSD I use mindfulness, CBT, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
