Kara believes that a supportive therapist-client relationship, encouragement and reflection allow new skills to take hold in her client's real world. Her goal is to help each client feel relief through finding their strongest, most authentic self in order to see new opportunities in their unique life situation. Her primary interests are trauma recovery, relational and spiritual issues, chronic depression and anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, and women's issues including birth related trauma and post-partum depression.
As a Certified EMDR therapist, Somatic Therapy Practitioner, and Therapeutic Yoga Instructor, Kara's clinical experience and training is especially diverse, making her an ideal therapist for complicated life situations and clinical issues. She has experience working with families through separation, repairing emotional bonds, and healing trauma and/or abuse.
Therapy with Kara is fresh, relevant and in line with the latest research, integrating mind, body and soul; but first and foremost is the humanity and authenticity present in the room. If you are interested in therapy at a reduced fee, Kara supervises Associate Marriage and Family therapists in her Fresno Office. Call for details.
