I love working with children, adolescents, teenagers, and their families and I try to make therapy sessions fun by utilizing creative interventions and techniques. I understand the importance of building trust in the early stages of therapy, particularly with children, adolescents, and teenagers. With children and teens, I utilize a collaborative approach and work with the parents to help recognize behavioral patterns and put systems into place for lasting change and results.
I believe that it is through a strong therapeutic relationship that clients are able to gain the clarity and strength to change their circumstances. While I am caring and empathetic, I am also honest and able to challenge clients to step outside of their comfort zones and learn new ways to navigate life’s challenges.
I have over 10 years of experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and families on issues such as Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, parenting and co-parenting, relationship issues, family conflict, behavioral problems, oppositional/defiant behavior, aggression and anger, anxiety and panic attacks, and depression.
