Hello! My name is Kara Lash. With 9 years of experience as a therapist, I have had the privilege of working in various settings, and have specialized in the treatment of OCD and Anxiety-Related Conditions for four years. I continue to receive training in these areas to stay updated with the most effective treatment methods. My approach is non-judgmental and compassionate, as I fully understand the significant impact that OCD, Anxiety Disorders, and mental health can have on one’s quality of life. Psychoeducation is a key part of my practice so you can understand how your rituals, compulsions and behaviors influence your symptoms.
I use evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and incorporate aspects of Behavioral Activation and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as needed.
My goal is to help individuals live in alignment with their personal goals and values while empowering them to better understand and manage their mental health. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any concerns or questions about getting started with treatment!
