I conceptualize my role with clients in therapy as a thought partner and story mapper. I work with clients to explore narratives and experiences, and relational dynamics while helping to tie the red string connecting it all. Much of my work with clients is in making the unconscious patterns conscious. In addition to my role as a therapist I am a writer and passionate advocate for inclusivity within businesses and communities. I am a non-binary, queer, neurodivergent, white, parent, educator and activist. All of these identities inform my approach as a therapist and my experience in the world.
I enjoy engaging with clients in a collaborative and inquisitive process of reflection. I utilize EMDR, somatic, existential, anti-racist, and narrative therapy modalities along with a queer informed and anti-racist perspective to facilitate conversations that assist clients in creating deeper understanding of self and greater sense of belonging.
I believe in the power of language and the importance of self expression. How we speak says a lot about how we conceptualize the world. I love utilizing non-traditional approaches to therapy including astrology and shadow work. I find these resources provide powerful language for integration and deeper understanding of the multitudes we all contain.
