About
Taking the first step by deciding to pursue therapy can be difficult. Living with untreated anxiety or depression can be even worse. Most of our lives we are taught to protect ourselves by keeping vulnerabilities hidden and keeping people at a safe distance. Therapy encourages just the opposite: to reveal your innermost thoughts and feelings to a stranger- your therapist. This process can be unsettling. However, by articulating these emotions, putting words to the oftentimes debilitating feelings, life becomes more manageable and healing begins.
Together we will create a space that is comfortable and safe to put this in to practice. We will work to process difficult emotions and experiences so that we don't stay stuck in them.
I can be reached by phone or email. We will talk briefly before our first session to decide if I am the right fit for you.
