Pain. I remember a time when I was in such emotional pain I wished someone had beaten me—because at least that would heal faster and ease the deep hurt that broke my heart. You may be experiencing similar pain for a variety of reasons, but I can testify there is healing—and counseling can help with that process. I love the words of Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” There is hope and healing from pain!
Teletherapy. Do you hesitate to try teletherapy? So did I at first, but as I have worked with clients via teletherapy I have concluded it can be a good thing: a client could cuddle their pet as we work through a trauma, busy moms find it easier to handle childcare by doing teletherapy, and not having to worry about weather and road conditions.
