My approach to therapy is diverse and eclectic. Through counseling, individuals can increase their quality of life; achieve a healthy balance in life through enhancing self-awareness, personal growth, empowerment, and emotional healing. I use a variety of theoretical approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. Some of these theories include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I have worked with child, adolescent, and adult populations along a range of issues such as depression, mood disorders, substance-related disorders, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, adjustment disorders, personality disorders, and ADHD.
I have over 15 year experience the health service field and in counseling individuals, families, couples and groups in a variety of settings. Services include diagnostic assessments, treatment plan development and implementation, crisis intervention, family therapy, family education and training, behavior modification, substance abuse education and counseling, individual therapy, resource identification and linkage and advocacy.
