Life is often unpredictable and can demand a level of fluidity that can be hard to navigate. In moments of change, difficulty, or hardship, we might find ourselves feeling uncertain and unsure of what to think, how to feel, attend to what we may need, or how to continue caring for ourselves. During these moments we may be seeking comfort, a new perspective, or a desire to be truly seen and understood. As your therapist, l will strive to understand your unique experiences - who you are based on what you have lived through, your view of self, and how you have been impacted by culture, society, and those around you.

I enjoy working with young adults and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds and emphasize in working with Asian and South Asian individuals. Additionally, my areas of focus include working with those who are experiencing relationship issues, grief and loss, and family conflict as well as emotional, interpersonal, academic, and culturally-related distress.

South Asian Women's Support Group

Hosted by

Kanchan Parkash

Led by two South Asian therapists, this ongoing group aims to create a supportive space for South Asian women to process interpersonal, family, and cultural dynamics. Group will provide a judgement free and confidential space to share experiences, deepen understanding of yourself, and provide opportunities to give and receive feedback. Group will encourage reflection on relational styles and ways you relate to yourself and others. It aims to promote vulnerability and develop more adaptive ways of coping with stressors.

Women's Group

An interpersonal process group open to all women residing in IL. A space to deepen understanding and awareness of relational patterns and emotions. Group will provide opportunities for connection and fostering greater insight through feedback. Group is held virtually via Zoom. We accept BCBS PPO, Aetna, United, & Self-Pay ($50 per session).
