Hi! I’m Kalene. I work with people who find it easy to show compassion to others but struggle to have self-compassion. They're often perfectionists, people-pleasers, helpers, empaths, and overthinkers. Many have hefty responsibilities as business leaders, caretakers, parents, students, or public figures. I have specialized training in working with survivors of sexual trauma (including childhood sexual abuse and assault/rape in adulthood). These populations can be particularly vulnerable to being unkind to themselves. I focus on helping people quiet the inner critic, lessen feelings of pressure/shame, and find peace with themselves.
My aim to is to help you unravel both the internal sources of self-criticism (such as painful parts of your past, negative thoughts you hold on to, and a sense of emotions controlling you rather than the other way around), and external sources of pain (like stressful life transitions, ruptures in relationships, and the impact of cultural or societal norms).
With a background in mindfulness and Othmer Method neurofeedback, I strive to help you experience and practice self-compassion & healing, rather than just talking about it. Whether we work together 1:1 or in a therapy group, short- or long-term, I want to help you gain practical skills for self-acceptance and self-compassion that you can use for a lifetime.

Women's Sexual Trauma Survivors (8 Weeks, ONLINE)
Long after sexual trauma you may struggle with anxiety, shame, grief, and isolation. Those close to you may inadvertently trigger strong reactions like anger/rage, fear/panic, and intrusive thoughts. You don't feel like yourself, and you're not sure who to talk to. I've spent the past 16 years helping sexual trauma survivors build self-compassion and reclaim their identity so it's not defined by trauma. I created this group so survivors can connect and empower each other as they work toward healing. Next group series: January 2026. Visit www.wellness4humanity.com for more information.
