I strive to create an environment where you feel heard and understood. In order to create this environment, I work collaboratively with you to develop goals, and I maintain the belief that you are the expert on yourself and have the answers within. My areas of focus include career-related stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, processing trauma, gender and sexuality issues, family dynamics, stress, anger, self-esteem, life transitions/adjustment, substance use/addiction, and maladaptive behaviors. Whether you want to focus on the past, present, or future, I am willing to meet you where you are so that you can reach your goals.
I utilize an Eclectic approach to counseling where I tailor interventions to each client based upon their needs. I often utilize interventions derived from Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Gestalt therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief therapy.
I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and understood, and that there is never a wrong time to speak with a counselor. My goal is to provide a safe and affirming space for clients where we can work collaboratively to address stressors, symptoms, and more. I believe that if we are able to make your life easier, we are headed in a positive direction.
