As a Credentialed Grief Educator and Counselor, Certified Pet Loss and Bereavement therapist and Ordained Pastor, I try to provide guidance to those going through the pain and sorrow of loss. The loss could be lost love, a pet, friend, sibling, job, relationship...Regardless, when any deep bond is severed, the sadness and broken heart are profound. But loss and grief are not mental health issues. And while there are meds for depression, there is no pill for a broken heart. These are spiritual and emotional matters. Things of the heart and soul. By understanding the profound, spiritual, heart-based connections people make, I'm able to create a working rapport with those I companion. The grief support groups I guide also give critical help to the bereft. Each person's grief, as they mourn the loss of whatever they loved, is unique. Special attention to seniors and kids who feel loss very deeply.
I can companion you. But you know your grief better than any one. So you will lead. There is nothing wrong with you. Your heart is broken. So there is nothing to fix in the medical sense. No "normal" to get back to. That normal is gone forever. Together we move from Loss to Grief to Mourning to Reconciliation. We never "move on." We work to "move forward!"
