I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a Master's of Social Work from San Diego State University. My specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, immigration, cultural issues, crisis intervention, and grief/loss. I use a lot of CBT and EMDR as my therapeutic approach. I'm EMDR trained and very close to being certified. I like to use different approaches to tailor to my client's needs and preferences.
Since I'm trained in EMDR with a trauma-focused professional background, I worked with a lot of people who have suffered different major life traumas, including immigration, torture, rape, religion, and family/childhood trauma.
I like to think of myself as a very friendly and approachable person. I want my clients to feel comfortable in our therapeutic relationship so they could feel heard and understood.
