I approach therapy as a partnership. I believe that people are able to identify and discover their unique strengths, gifts, and wounds through a supportive therapeutic relationship. I really believe in the deep goodness of each person and understand that part of recovering from difficulties and trauma involves re-discovering this goodness and understanding what interrupted growth. Together, I collaborate with people to develop resources and practices that provide an additional layer of support while doing the vulnerable and challenging work of therapy.
My primary theoretical orientations are Person Centered, Psychodynamic, and Strengths-Based. I have completed additional training in CBT-I, working with survivors of narcissistic abuse, and supporting those recovering from complex trauma, with additional education for those facing religious/spiritual issues. I also love supporting people in Enneagram work.
Some moments and transition points in life are extraordinarily painful and confusing. Facing these circumstances can feel unmanageable and overwhelming. I really appreciate being able to walk alongside people so that they are able to make sense of their lives and carve a more authentic path forward with great respect, gentleness, and honesty.
