I enjoy understanding people’s life stories and how those experiences shape who they are and how they connect. In couples therapy, I bring curiosity to each partner’s inner world and to the space between them—including the emotional, relational, and sexual dynamics that make up a couple’s bond.
My goal is to build a trusting relationship where both partners feel safe to explore what hasn’t yet been fully understood—within themselves and within the relationship. I help couples put words to complex experiences and make sense of the impact of their past, their pain, their fears, and their unmet needs—individually and together.
I believe that our identities impact our life experiences. Racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of oppression impact our lives in different ways. In our work together, we will directly and openly address how inequities can impact our lives.
