A ideal client needs empathy and validation. They want to feel safe and be able to trust someone who is reliable and understands their thoughts.
The client would present with anxiety, depression and previous trauma. The client’s goal would be to feel safe, learn coping skills and then apply them, when they become triggered.
They would like to process their trauma, discuss behavior patterns learned, complete inter child work, learn DBT and/or CBT coping skills and practice self care to reduce mental health symptoms.
As a clinician, I specialize is depression, anxiety, self- esteem and trauma work. My experience includes crisis intervention, community mental health and partial hospitalization settings. I also have worked in the homeless prevention for 10 years.
I have a passion for mental health and my therapeutic approach involves meeting you where you’re at. Healing isn’t linear, just take it a day at a time. I’m looking forward to working with you on your journey of self discovery and healing.
