Dr. Jackson has a bachelors' and masters' degree in General Psychology from the University of Houston. Her Doctor of Philosophy Degree is in Clinical Adolescent Psychology from Prairie View A & M. She has been involved in clinical work for the past 21 years and a college professor for 16 years.

I am a Multi-Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts since 1998, speaker, and author. I hold four licenses as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, & Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist. Nationally, I hold a designation as a National Credential Counselor (NCC) Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Somatic Experience Practitioner (SEP)

My practice is primarily family therapy where multiple family members participate. The majority of the families I work with have at least one, if not many, of the following diagnoses: AD/HD, oppositional defiant disorder, selective mutism, learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, pragmatic communication, etc), social communication disorder, autism, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and/or bipolar disorder. I actively use Accelerated Resolution Therapy(ART) to help people gain relief from trauma and persistent unwanted thoughts. I also offer comprehensive reports for social security applications.

In every case, my primary treatment goal is to help my clients develop the necessary skills--both thinking and behaving-- to improve their health, academic performance, day-to-day functioning and sense of well-being and self-efficacy. I do not fix my clients but focus all my efforts toward helping them to fix or better manage their problems themselves. This is done through fostering client strengths.
