Over the past two decades, I have served individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. I am a certified and approved DOT Substance Abuse Professional.

I have a passion for mental health care and substance abuse treatment, and I have extensive experience and training in behavioral health, diagnostics, addiction, co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse and assault, maternity and fertility issues, grief and loss, hoarding, family dynamics and conflict, marital issues, sexual orientation and gender identification and expression, adjustment issues, stages in life, and many other situations that bring a client to seek counseling.

I entered the field of counseling because of a desire to help those in crisis or who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. I realized I wanted to be a counselor while working at a local community college. I saw students who were struggling academically but were very bright. I came to understand that there are many factors that go into being successful at life. I have always had a helping nature but didn’t fully understand why people behaved they way they did. Through my education and experience I can now help people in their personal lives, relationships and careers.
