As we travel our journey, there are times that we need extra help and support. Especially, to move through the rough and uncomfortable times. In therapy, I believe it is important to meet people at what stage they are in while making that journey. This allows us to build the right tool box to equip them for success. I have over 15 years of experience working with adults, teenagers, and adolescents. My experience has been around helping individuals with anxiety, depression, parenting, behavior management, trauma, and other life stressors. My specialties are older adolescents (15+), and adults.

We all experience distressing emotions and are faced with challenging times in our lives. Sometimes additional support is needed because these experiences can be overwhelming and too much to handle on our own. Sharing your thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences can feel uncomfortable. This is why it is so important to me to provide a safe and caring environment for clients to feel understood and respected. It is my primary goal to build trust and provide support to my clients.

When clients come to me for therapy, I commit to doing all that I can to provide each person with my best services. I work primarily from a client-centered and strength-based perspective, believing that every person has inherent strengths and the ability to be a partner in the work that we do together toward deeper self-awareness and positive change. Belen Martinez, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has extensive experience providing English and Spanish individual, group, and couples psychotherapy to adolescents and adults of all ages. I counsel individuals struggling with psychotic disorders, personality disorders and dissociative disorders. I provide family counseling as well as conflict resolution and mediation services. I provide coaching for wellness, psycho-spiritual growth, communication skills, relationship skills and parenting skills. Also, I provide psychosocial assessments.
