About
I specialize in trauma, specifically childhood abuse and neglect. Working with all ages from young child to adult. I also have a great deal of experience helping individuals with symptoms of depression and anxiety.
I have been practicing as a counselor for more than three years and human services for an additional three years prior to this. I am a nationally certified, licensed professional counselor, specializing in trauma-focused treatment for survivors of abuse. In my three years of practice as a counselor I have served over 95 survivors of childhood abuse.
My therapeutic style is genuine and warm, with a healthy dose of humor. I am supportive and encourage those I work with by empowering them in the healing process. My approach is flexible and tailored to the individual. I believe that much like the body; the mind naturally moves toward healing. This is done within the context of a therapeutic relationship.
